How to Arrange a Funeral Step 2 – The Funeral
We are able to give you advice on cremation, burial and green funeral services, that are either religious or civil / humanist (non religious).
Cremations can take place at Penmount Crematorium, Truro; Treswithian Downs Crematorium, Camborne; and Glynn Valley Crematorium, Bodmin.
Penmount Crematorium has two chapels: Trelawny chapel, which seats around 100 people and Kernow chapel, which seats around 50 people. Funeral services can also be live-streamed and recorded for friends and family who are unable to attend.
Burials will normally have a service, either in church or at the graveside. If you wish to have a new grave, or have an existing one you want to use, then we can support you in making the necessary arrangements.
If you want an environmentally friendly option, we can provide green funeral services including eco-friendly coffins and woodland burials. These can take place at Penwith Woodland Burials or The Wildflower Meadow at Penmount Crematorium, Truro.
We have produced this handy guide on the different types of burials we can support with.
We will also place notices in the local newspapers and online to let people know about the bereavement, as well as when and where the funeral will take place.
We can also help you with funeral stationery – service sheets and attendance cards, administering charitable donations, a range of transport from the traditional hearse and limousine, horse and carriage, motorcycle and sidecar to VW camper vans, and floral arrangements and flowers.
Whatever you want, we’re here to help you fulfil your wishes. We’re also available for home visits to help you plan and can also arrange funerals by post or email.
Feel free to call us on 01872 274021 about this part of the process.
